OVERHAUL

We define tree types of overhaul:

1. GENERAL VISUAL REVIEW

For those pilots wanting a general visual review of the wing. Review consists of:

- Sail: inspection of intrados, extrados, ribs (including internal load tapes), seams, tabs, ...). If a small hole is detected, is
covered with ripstop.
- Lines: inspection of loops and main body of the lines, looking for possible defects.
- Risers: Risers and surface areas of them, maillons, o-rings "gummies", pulleys, brake control (test of symmetry).
- Interior cleaning: hanging sail by the trailing edge and sways the sail to drop the entire inside dirt (sand, grass, insects, ...) out on the leading edge.


Is delivered
a plastified tab control with data that have been obtained during the review.


2. SIMPLE OVERHAUL:

It is advisable to
make periodically to monitor the status of the sail.

Consists of:

- Checking the porosity.
- Tensile strength of the tissue.
-
General Visual Inspection, sail, lines, brakes, quick links, ... (everything is done as described in paragraph 1)

Is delivered a plastified tab control with data that have been obtained during the review.



3. COMPLETA OVERHAUL:
It is advisable to make to guarantee the status of a wing if you want to sell or buy, or you get a paraglider whose origin is uncertain.

Consists of:

- Checking the porosity.
- Tensile strength of the tissue.
- Visual inspection of the sail, lines, seams, risers, brakes, and quick links.
- Resistance line measurements (electronic dynamometer load cell).
- Checking the trim of the glider and symmetry of the lines.
- General Visual Inspection, sail, lines, brakes, quick links, ... (everything is done as described in paragraph 1)

1. MK-1 JDC Electronic porosimeter test
The porosity measurements are made ​​with MK-1 JDC Electronic porosimeter.

The test result is the time in seconds, that a volume of 250 ml of air takes to pass through an area 38.5 cm2 of tissue, at a constant pressure of 10 mbar.

2. Dynamometer and tweezers on ripstop fabric sample
Tissue resistance is tested with
dynamometer UKRO 20kg and Aerostar tweezers.

For loading and traction the lines is used
a load cell
TRANSDUTEC TSC-1 with a
MICRA-C digital display (maximum margin of error
of ± 0.1%).

The system load is provided by winding a
wire rope onto a rotating cylinder with device

5. Digital laser rangefinder
Controlling the length of line length is
performed with a digital laser rangefinder DLE 40
Bosch professional.

The reference measurements of the lines are indicated
by each constructor.
